Vault: an MCP-aware second brain

Markdown notes with wiki-links, in the cloud, that your AI assistant can read and write through MCP. Your knowledge base becomes a tool.

Notes apps are for humans. Vault is for you and your assistant.

What it is

A cloud markdown knowledge base: notes, wiki-links, backlinks, and a graph. Nothing exotic — but it's MCP-aware, which changes what you can do with it.

The MCP part

Because Vault speaks MCP, your assistant can read and write it directly. "Save this decision to my architecture note." "What did we conclude about payments last month?" The model searches your notes, follows links, and files new observations — automatically, if you let it.

Why cloud + markdown

Markdown keeps it portable and diff-able. Cloud keeps it available to every client you connect — the same brain from Claude Desktop, Cursor, or your phone. Wiki-links keep it a graph, not a pile.

The point

Your context shouldn't live only in a chat window that resets. Vault is where the durable stuff goes, and MCP is how your assistant keeps it current.
